Testvérvárosaink

Amikor egy-egy földrajzilag vagy politikailag távol eső város partneri viszonyt alakít ki egymással, hogy az emberek közötti és a kulturális kapcsolatokat erősítsék, testvérvárosi kapcsolatról beszélünk.
Gyomaendrőd testvérvárosai a romániai Nagyenyed (Aiud), a németországi Schöneck a lengyelországi Pilzno és a szlovákiai Ruttka (Vrútky).

Nagyenyed (Aiud)

In the heart of Transylvania on the banks of the Maros River is located Nagyenyed rebuilt many times during the storms of history. Dr. Károly Frankó and prof. Crisan Vasile mayors undersigned the twin town partnership agreement on 2nd October 1993.

Pilzno

Pilzno, the townlet from South Poland wrote itself into the history books with its 650 year-old history and as the birthplace of General Bem. Józef Chmura and Dr. Imre Dávid mayors signed the brother city partnership agreement on 20th June 2004.

Ruttka (Vrútky)

Vrútky (Ruttka) is to be found in the Highlands (Felvidék), on the area of the present-day Slovakia. It has a population of 7300 and it is part of Martin (Turócszentmárton) since 1971. The city of Vrútky (Ruttka) was built at the confluence of Váh (Vág) and Turiec (Turóc) rivers in the northern part of the Turiec basin (Turóci-medence), its first written memory is from 1255.

Schöneck

Schöneck from Germany came into existence by the joining of three smaller settlements in 1971: Kilianstädten, Büdesheim and Oberdorfelden have more than a thousand year old history. Ludger Stüve and Dr. Imre Dávid mayors endorsed the sister town partnership agreement on 20th June 2004.
